Part-FCL Licence Revalidation expired ratings and remarks for helicopter pilots

If you are already the holder of a Part-FCL licence for helicopters, you can revalidate this with a new rating and/or remark.

What do I need?

You must submit the following:

  • The fully-completed application form
  • A copy of your valid medical certificate
  • A copy of the refresher certificate (see the FAQ’s on our website for the content/guidelines)
    • A copy of the ATO or DTO approval (only applicable if the training took place at a non-Dutch EASA training organisation)
  • A copy of the proficiency check 
    • A copy of the licence of the examiner (if the practical exam is conducted by a non-Dutch EASA examiner)
    • A copy of the examiner certificate (if the practical exam is conducted by a non-Dutch EASA examiner)

Application and delivery

After reception of your application, this will be processed as quickly as possible. You will receive the invoice, and possibly a request for supplying additional information by e-mail. After your application is complete and has been paid for, the processing of your application will take approximately 30 working days. After this period, the decision will be sent to you by post or by e-mail. You can find more information about the application process on the Handling of an application and delivery page.

Express Service

You can select the Express service during the application for issuing a proficiency check. Your application is then given priority. In addition to the product fee, you will pay an additional 25% of the product fee for each Express Service request, with a minimum of € 130.68 (including 21% VAT and delivery by regular mail). Validity

A class rating is valid for 2 years and the type rating is valid for 1 year. Both ratings can be extended or renewed if the granting requirements or renewed issuing requirements are satisfied.

Costs

The rate for this service is specified by the government in the Regeling tarieven transportsectoren (Dutch). The fee for each issue, renewal or reissue of a rating is € 160.93 (incl. VAT).

Payment

When Kiwa Register receives your application, an invoice is sent to you. The payment must be made, at the latest, within four weeks from the date of the invoice. If your employer pays for the costs of the application, you can state this during the application. If you cancel the application, or if your application is negative/is not processed, the costs are not refunded because you are paying for the processing of the application.
