Kiwa Register B.V. grants licences, permits and other value documents on behalf of the government.
Fraud prevention is an important issue for Kiwa. Fraud undermines the trust in government and in Kiwa Register as a licencing authority. If Kiwa Register observes any irregularities in the course of its activities, the case will be further investigated by Kiwa. In case of suspected fraud, we will file a police report so the case can be investigated and criminally prosecuted.
The concept of fraud is not explicitly defined in the Criminal Code, but it includes at least the following: forgery, swindle, deceit, harming government interests, corruption, theft and/or embezzlement.
