To demonstrate that you are authorised to carry out maintenance on aircraft, you must have a Part-66 AML (Aircraft Maintenance Licence). Below you can request your initial Part-66 AML.
For the initial application of an EASA Part 66 AML licence, an aircraft technician must be at least 18 years old and have the basic knowledge and experience to obtain a Part 66 AML in the applicable category. You will find the application requirements via the application help below.
You application will be processed as soon as possible. You will receive the invoice and possibly the request for additional information by e-mail. After your application is complete and paid, it will take approximately 15 business days to process your application. The decision will be sent to you by post or e-mail after that. The validity of an aircraft maintenance licence expires five years after the last issue or change. The validity of the licence can be extended by five years at any time. You can submit an renewal request for this.
The rate for this service is determined by the Dutch government in the Regeling tarieven transportsectoren (Dutch). An initial application for a Part-66 licence costs € 215.38 (incl. VAT).
After your application has been received by Kiwa Register, you will receive a payment request. This must be paid no later than four weeks after the date. The invoice is sent with the decision and Part-66 license. If your employer pay the costs for the application, you can indicate this during the application. If you cancel the application or if your application is rejected, there will be no refund of the costs.
