Part-66 AML Licence Amendment - Add Type Rating / Category

Aircraft maintenance technicians must have an EASA Part 66 AML. This consists of the basic category/sub category and additional type ratings. An aircraft technician can apply for an endorsement of a Part 66 AML to add a (first) type rating or to add a new category/sub category.

What would you like to do?

Application and delivery

You application will be processed as soon as possible. You will receive the invoice and possibly the request for additional information by e-mail. After your application is complete and paid, it will take approximately 15 business days to process your application. The decision will be sent to you by post or e-mail after that. Express Service

When applying for the endorsement of a permit, with the exception of the first type and category, you can opt for Kiwa Register’s Express Service. Your application will then be treated with priority. Read all about this service on the Express Service aviation page.

Validity

The validity of a Part-66 AML expires five years after the last issue or change.

Rates

The rate for this service is determined by the Dutch government in the Regeling tarieven transportsectoren (Dutch). An endorsement of a licence for an aircraft maintenance technicians costs € 215.38 (incl. VAT) per submitted application.

Payment

After your application has been received by Kiwa Register, you will receive a payment request. This must be paid no later than four weeks after the date. The invoice is sent with the decision and Part-66 AML. If your employer pays the costs for the application, you can indicate this during the application. If you cancel the application or if your application is rejected, there will be no refund of the costs.
